President echoes Chaplyne train station shelling

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili echoed the Russian shelling of the train station in Chaplyne on Ukraine’s Independence Day, August 24.

 

“Shocked and saddened by the Russian strike on a train station in Chaplyne, Ukraine. A terrible attack, a barbaric show of violence against peaceful civilians, on Ukraine’s Independence Day. I mourn the tragic loss of life. Georgia stands with the Ukrainian nation,” President Zourabichvili tweeted.

 

Based on the latest reports, Russia shelled Chaplyne railway station on Ukraine’s Independence Day, killing 25 people.
