The desire to impose sanctions makes Mr. Podolyak tell lies. All these statements by Podolyak, which were related to sanctions, false accusations, seem to be motivated by Saakashvili's factor, Human Rights Committee Chairman Mikheil Sarjveladze said, thus responding to the statement made by the adviser to the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak.
According to him, Podolyak's last statement was illogical.
"It turns out that he has to attack us, make the most serious accusations and then criticize us for demanding an answer to these accusations. No one, including a high-ranking official of a country at war, has the right to make such unsubstantiated accusations. If anyone has to filter the tone and content of his conversation, first and foremost, Podolyak should do so, who makes untrue statements just because he wants. They invent myths, fight against these myths, and this is categorically unacceptable. When he makes groundless accusations, he should not be surprised that he will receive a harsh response.
Moreover, all responses have been much milder from the Georgian authorities than such statements deserved. The desire to impose sanctions makes Mr. Podolyak tell lies. All these statements by Podolyak, which were related to sanctions, false accusations, seem to be motivated by Saakashvili's factor and nothing else. Mr. Saakashvili has been sentenced and there are criminal cases ongoing against him. As for the treatment, if someone says that he needs the kind of service that cannot be provided in Georgia, only in this case we can consider his transfer abroad," said Sarjveladze.
