Gia Volski: Speaker of Ukrainian Parliament says that the bloodshed is assisted by black holes created by the Georgian Government, it is not just a matter of insulting Papuashvili

Statements that go beyond any limit, which come from the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, should be changed to some extent, at least the rhetoric must change, said the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Gia Volski.

"We hear about the deaths of many people, of children on a daily basis, there is bloodshed because of the intervention. In this condition, when any representative, be it the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, says that all this is assisted by certain black holes created by the (Georgian) Government, it is not just a matter of insulting Shalva Papuashvili or any of us. This is a topic that concerns a rather serious insult - the accusation against Georgia regarding the black holes, which is a narrative of the National Movement.

Against this background, decisions should be made in a way that is not about an emotional choice made by some official, Speaker of Parliament or political group. Georgia stands by Ukraine firmly, without any ambiguity, both politically and in terms of humanitarian aid, and it is very important to take this into account when Georgia itself is probably one of the most serious targets for aggression after Ukraine," Volski said.
