Armenian nationalists and their real attitude towards Georgia

18.11.21 15:00

There is a very interesting pattern in the attitude of Armenian nationalists towards Georgia and the Georgian people. When the representatives of the "most ancient people" need something from Georgians, or are dependent on Georgians, or are near Georgians and on Georgian territory, there is no end to all kinds of statements of "friendship", "brotherhood" and "Christian solidarity". There is no end to all kinds of statements about "friendship", "brotherhood" and "Christian solidarity". They will swear their love for Georgia and the Georgian people, they will talk about how they love Georgia and so on and so forth.

However, as soon as Armenian nationalists find themselves "in their own circle" or stay "at a safe distance" from Georgians, things change abruptly. The hatred towards Georgia and the Georgians starts to go off the scale here. And of course, Georgians in understanding of Armenian nationalists are people who "owe everything to Armenians". And they are also "guilty" before them. And in general, everything Georgians have is "Armenian", from cuisine to the alphabet and even the royal dynasty.

This hypocrisy and duplicity in relations between the two neighbouring peoples is noticed by many. And even by representatives of "third peoples" who are neither Georgians nor Armenians.

Especially unpleasant is such attitude of our southern neighbours (I would like to think not all of them, but only that part of them that is infected with nationalism) for the Georgian people, who for centuries have done nothing but defend the Armenian people, give them an opportunity to settle on their land, live and grow rich in Georgia. And when "in gratitude" for this Armenian fighters carried out terrible atrocities in Abkhazia, it came as a shock to many.

This is exactly the attitude of Armenian nationalists and Armenian politicians towards Georgia and Georgians in the video of famous blogger Demetre Kartveli. We would like to present this video:

From the very beginning, the broadcaster tries to find common ground with the younger generation of Armenians online. Instead, what does he hear? Foul language, insults, curses against Georgia and Georgians in every word.

So what do we conclude? That the youth treat Georgians the way they have been taught by the older generation, who have basically learned to be hypocrites and hide their "outside the Armenian circle" and their true attitude towards Georgian people, while young people do not know how to humiliate and insult Georgians, knowing that they are "safe".

At the meantime, we can be 100% sure that if these young people had been surrounded by Georgians in real life, they would have started singing a different song, and would have started talking about "friendship", "brotherhood", etc. What these words really mean is shown by such dialogues with the help of social networks.

But what's more, there is another danger. These young Armenian nationalists will start killing Georgians they hate at the first opportunity. And then, if the Georgian authorities and Georgian people do not pay attention to such mood, tragedy of Georgians in Abkhazia can be repeated anywhere, in the same Samtskhe-Javkheti.

One of the grievances of Armenian nationalists who cannot come round after their disastrous defeat a year ago in a 44-day war in Karabakh is that Georgians did not allow Russian troops and weapons to cross their territory to Armenia and send mercenaries there.

The question is who hatched hatred between Georgians and Russians, who instigated separatist wars in Tskhinvali and Abkhazia, who carried out unspeakable atrocities against Georgian civilians in Abkhazia? Are not they nationalists of the very people who when they need something from Georgians pay lip service to "brotherhood", but in reality are always ready at the first opportunity to start killing Georgians?

There are stories in the video about atrocities committed by Armenian fighters in Abkhazia. There are stories of captives and civilians being tied tyres over their heads and burnt.  About how Baghramyan's Armenian battalion committed many atrocities:

"The war was already over when Georgian partisans took an Armenian captive. He cried and wept, the Georgians felt sorry for him and were about to let him go, but they saw a bag on his chest. They opened it and found eyes torn out from Georgians, ears and noses cut off. He turned out to be a member of the Baghramyan battalion".– The video tells such gruesome details.

The separatists were paying Armenians 100 dollars for each Georgian killed, and they had to provide some organ of the killed person for proof. And this representative of the "most ancient cultural nation" ripped out the eyes and cut off the ears of the Georgians he killed, and there must have been female and child ears as well.

And here's what another eyewitness testifies to: "Many people did not want to leave their homes, some had sick people lying in their house. An Armenian group entered the village. When they started shooting at the Georgian population, my neighbour managed to hide in a haystack. The Armenians noticed this, tied the haystack tightly with a rope and set it on fire.»

The journalist concludes that the Armenian nationalists in Abkhazia were purposely destroying the Georgian ethnic group. They received assistance from official Yerevan, from the self-proclaimed separatist "Nagorno-Karabakh", fighters were flown in from Armenia and financial support was provided. And the separatist self-proclaimed so-called "Nagorno-Karabakh" (in fact, Armenia!) recognised the independence of Abkhazia and so-called "South Ossetia" long before Russia did.

"Actually, they say insolence is second happiness! Armenians slur at us for not letting the enemies of the Georgians, Russia's armament towards the self-proclaimed Karabakh from Armenia... They also blame us, but do not consider themselves to be at fault. That is, they have the right to fight against us, they allow Russia to bomb Georgia from Armenian territory, they have the right to expel us from our homes, to live in the homes of Georgians who were once sheltered by Armenians who were expelled from Turkey. – Demetre Kartveli is outraged.

Demetre Kartveli also raises the issue of the mythical so-called Armenian genocide.

"They are already quite fed up with everyone, especially the Georgians, in fact every year they come out with these Karabakh flags and shout 'the Georgians recognise the Armenian genocide, and our historians say: give us materials, as it was the case with the Circassians and the Kabardins...'". – says Demetre Kartveli and relates that Georgian historians asked for genocide materials, Kabardian and Circassian scientists submitted these materials, they were studied and a conclusion was reached:

"Georgia, despite the fact that the Circassians and Kabardins fought against us on the side of Russia, shedding Georgian blood on Georgian territory, has still rightly recognised the genocide of these people, who are now on their knees and subjugated to the same Russia that killed their ancestors, which destroyed the Ubykh tribe... We ask the Armenians: open the archives, give us the material - no, just admit it!"

In truth, however, as we know, the deportation of the Armenian population in 1915 took place because the Armenian nationalists 'betrayed their homeland Turkey, whose citizens they considered to be, and began to kill the Turks from within. The Armenian nationalists 'betrayed their homeland Turkey, whose citizens they considered to be, and began to kill the Turks from within, as did the Armenians living in Abkhazia'.

Demetre Kartveli gives figures of losses: overall, about 3 million of its citizens, mostly Muslims were killed in eastern Turkey, while losses of Armenians amounted to about 300 thousand, i.e. almost ten times less than losses of Turks and other Muslims. The question is: Whose genocide was it really?
