Hate and threats of terrorist attacks - Armenian 'gratitude' to Russia

15.11.21 10:00

Recent events in the Republic of Armenia and in the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Azerbaijan's Karabakh raise a simple question: how long will Russia continue to humiliate Armenian terrorists and comply with their ultimatums? Yet the Armenian nationalists themselves feel nothing but hatred for Russia.

For instance, recently in Yerevan at another opposition demonstration demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Russophobia was off the charts. It seems that Armenian nationalists may have different views on Pashinyan (also a "Soros follower" and Russia-hater, by the way), but they are increasingly united by their hatred of Russia. Here is the video of the demonstration:

"Armenian schools were being closed. Russian Tsarist troops disarmed Armenian rebels, surrendered western Armenia and concluded the Treaties of Kars and Moscow. There was never any friendship between the Armenian and Russian peoples. There was a colonial policy. Armenia has always been Russia's bargaining chip. Therefore, the myth of Russian-Armenian friendship has been debunked once and for all. We, the Armenian people, answer you with the words of Mikhail Lermontov: "Farewell, unwashed Russia". - these are, so to speak, the words of "gratitude" heard from Armenian nationalists in the centre of the historic Azerbaijani city of Irevan, which became Armenian and the capital of Armenia only thanks to Russia."

However, the Armenian nationalists' Russophobia in its full glory came to the fore when Armenian citizen Norayr Mirzoyan committed an act of terrorism on 13 November 2021, throwing a hand grenade at the Azerbaijani military while passing a roadblock in the village of Dashalty near the town of Shusha. The terrorist was then detained by Russian peacekeepers whose checkpoint was nearby.

As a consequence of the blast, three Azerbaijani servicemen on duty at the post were wounded to varying degrees of severity. The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office opened criminal cases on the incident under the articles "terrorism" and "attempted murder".

As soon as information about Norayr Mirzoyan's detention appeared in the media, Vahagn Avagyan, a member of the Armenian radical group Sasna Tsrer, published a statement threatening the Russian authorities:

"If Russia hands Norayr over to Azerbaijan, the next grenades will fly towards Russian troops and Russian embassies," threatened Vahagn Avagyan.

I.e. it is no longer just "goodbye unwashed Russia". It is "we will be killing you Russia", from representatives of a people who only have their state thanks to the Russians.

Military expert Igor Korotchenko, the editor-in-chief of the National Defence magazine, stated that the Armenian terrorist should be handed over to the Azerbaijanian side, taken to Baku and investigations should be carried out against him.

This incident, according to Korotchenko, requires the immediate and unwarranted implementation of the paragraph of the trilateral statement of 9 November 2020 - the disarmament of all illegal Armenian formations that still remain in Karabakh. "Otherwise it is like a cancerous tumour giving metastases in the form of terrorist attacks," the expert said.

Igor Korotchenko believes that if the illegal Armenian formations are not disarmed, it will lead to a repetition of terrorist attacks and their scale. According to him, the goal of the provocation is to clash the Azerbaijani and Russian militaries in Karabakh.

Alas, further actions by the Russian forces only confirmed fears that the terrorists might talk to Russia from a position of strength and issue ultimatums.

Russian peacekeepers, as if 'obeying' Vahagn Avagyan's threats, handed over the detained terrorist Norayr Mirzoyan to Armenian Karabakh separatists. That is, in fact, they released the terrorist. After all, for the separatists, who still have him illegally on Azerbaijani territory, he is a "hero".

What does this turn out to be? A great nuclear Derzhava, terrorists issue ultimatums and threaten its diplomats and military with reprisals, and the great Derzhava immediately complies with the terrorists' demands! And what`s more, terrorists from a state that exists 100% on the planet thanks to Russia and only thanks to Russia.

Isn't it a humiliation for the Powerful Russia? Terrorists curse Russia with the last words, call it "dirty", threaten to attack its embassies and military units, and Russia, it turns out, meets their demands? And shouldn't this humiliation be stopped? And are the terrorists disarmed and handed over to the justice of the country that suffers the most from their actions?
