Salome Samadashvili – Government plans to bury Anaklia Port Project

The government plans to bury Anaklia Port Project at the request of Russia – Salome Samadashvili, MP of National Movement Party said when commenting about the case of Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Supervisory Board of TBC Bank.

 

Samadashvili said that Prosecutor’s Office became an instrument of political persecution in the country into this case for two reasons: The government planned to stop the project and prevent Khazaradze from being actively involved in politics.

 

“Disruption of Anaklia Project is the objective of the government and it is working on that. Khazaradze has serious resources and his entering into political processes would radically change the political landscape.  .  .  .  Ivanishvili wants to neutralize Khazaradze and this is a punishment operation that has nothing to do with the judiciary and unbiased investigation,” Samadashvili claimed.

 

The General Prosecutor’s Office presented charges to Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Supervisory Board of TBC Bank on the fact of legalization of illegal revenues in the amount of USD 16 754 000.
