Deputy Prime Minister of Taliban meets with "representative of the Tskhinvali government"

Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban government met with the "representative of the government" of Tskhinvali, Alexei Maximov. According to media reports, the official representative of the Taliban political office, Muhammad Naim, has tweeted about the above and shared a photo of the meeting.

 

According to reports, issues related to "both countries", regional security and the situation in Afghanistan were discussed at the meeting.

 

As for Alexei Maximov, it was reported a few weeks ago that he had been invited to Tskhinvali from Moscow and had been appointed "representative of South Ossetia's foreign intelligence service" in Russia.

 

Davit Sanakoev, the so-called MP of occupied Tskhinvali, said in August that he did not rule out the recognition of Taliban by the "South Ossetian authorities".
