EU leaders reaffirmed the European aspirations of the Eastern Partnership countries. This is stated in a statement issued after the EU Council meeting in Brussels.

The document states that European leaders recognize and recognize the need to deepen relations with the EU's Eastern Partners, both politically and economically. The Council reiterates the Declaration of the 2017 Eastern Partnership Summit, which recognizes the European aspirations of the Eastern Partners and the European choice as enshrined in the Association Agreements.

"The European Union emphasizes the need to further strengthen political, economic and people-to-people ties or cooperation, which will strengthen their resilience. The Council reiterates the Declaration of the 2017 Eastern Partnership Summit, which recognizes the European aspirations and European choices of the Eastern Partners, as set out in the Association Agreements, and also in the context of their implementation. "The Council also emphasizes the need to deepen relations with Central Asia," the statement said.

We would like to remind you that Georgia is also among the member countries of the Eastern Partnership.
