Despite the recent increase in the number of infected people, the total number of infected people in Georgia is not as high as in many European countries, - Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control, said at a press conference held at the governmental administration.

According to Gamkrelidze, despite the fact that the epidemiological situation is seriously complicated in the country, "so far everything is manageable."

"We are still in a lower position. According to the data of the last two weeks, with the incidence, we have average incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants among European countries. We perform 213 thousand PCR tests per million,” said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
