As he notes, the unity of Europe is based on the union of sovereign countries, because it is the union of free states that will have the power to defeat the evil.

 

"The devastating anti-human consequences of the Second World War inspired the idea of unification of Europe, the harsh lesson of history dictated the necessity of unity to the leading countries of Europe in order to prevent new wars and peace.

 

Today, the European Union unites 27 countries, the goal of which is to ensure peace and the well-being of the European people.

 

The unity of Europe is based on the union of sovereign countries, because it is the union of free states that will have the power to defeat the evil.

 

Happy Europe Day! I believe that Georgia will soon join the union formed by the unity of values, where each country with its identity and historical experience contributes to ensuring the peace and progress of Europe," the Chairman of the Parliament said.
