We want the prohibition of LGBT propaganda to be guaranteed at the constitutional level. As for the political delusions of the opposition, sometimes they see black holes in their dreams, sometimes it seems to them that the real problem is not a problem, Guram Macharashvili, a member of the parliamentary majority, deputy of People's Power, told journalists about the constitutional initiative registered by the parliamentary majority against LGBT propaganda.
According to him, no one from the opposition can proudly say that they are in favor of LGBT propaganda, because "the majority of their voters do not support it".
"The problem of what is called LGBT propaganda is not only in Georgia. This is the problem of humanity. They say perverted lifestyle is a natural phenomenon, that we should teach it to children, etc. We have seen this, unfortunately, at the level of large states, including by issuing normative acts and adopting laws. Therefore, at the constitutional level, we want to guarantee the prohibition of LGBT propaganda, and as it is guaranteed today, the protection of the rights of any person will continue.
As for the political delusions of the opposition, sometimes they see black holes in their dreams, and sometimes they think that the real problem is not a problem. They don't say anything about it. Why don't they say they are in favor of LGBT propaganda? Has anyone stood up proudly and said they support LGBT propaganda? – They cannot. Because the majority of their voters are not in favor of this", said Guram Macharashvili.
