The investigative service exposed the employees of the technical inspection center to the fact of commercial bribery

Two employees of the technical inspection center were exposed by the investigation service on the fact of commercial bribery. Information about this is disseminated by the Special Investigation Service.

 

According to the agency, the crime is punishable by 2 to 4 years of imprisonment.

 

"As a result of operative-search measures and investigative actions carried out by the employees of the investigative service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were charged with the fact of commercial bribery and the production of forged documents.

 

The investigation established that the defendants, one of whom worked as an inspector in the technical inspection center located in Tbilisi and was responsible for testing motor vehicles by the requirements of the technical regulations, demanded a certain amount of money from the citizen, in exchange for which a positive inspection certificate was issued for the technically defective vehicle.

 

The investigation of the case continues under Articles 221 and 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for a period of 2 to 4 years as a punishment," the information states.
