New academic year starts today in Georgia. About 55 000 first-grade pupils were enrolled in schools throughout Georgia; 48 254 first-graders went in Public School and 6 067 – in private school.
All first-graders and class teachers of Public Schools received upgraded Netbooks free of charge. The Netbooks are provided with up-to-date computer programs and will have the improved technical characteristics including the licensed version of Microsoft 365 and hard disc memory capacity.
Iakob Gogebashvili’s Deda Ena schoolbooks were handed over to all first-graders.
For primary school students of non-Georgian schools, new textbooks were translated into Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian languages.
For the 2019-2020 school year, 27 new schools were built throughout the country, 141 schools were rehabilitated, and 884 schools have implemented small infrastructure projects.
The study process has started in kindergartens as well.
