According to Dodo Gvazava, head of the short-term forecasts department of the National Environment Agency, the high air temperature will be maintained in Georgia until August 19.

As she mentioned in a conversation with InterPressNews, it may be raining on August 16-17, but it will not affect the maximum air temperature.

"The temperature will be relatively high in eastern Georgia, between 34 and 39 degrees until August 14. From August 15-16, the heat will be maintained, but the maximum air temperature will drop by 1-3 degrees.

Most of the time, rainless and hot weather is expected in the capital. The maximum temperature - 39 degrees has been recorded for the third day now, which we will be maintained in the following days too. 40 degrees may be recorded from August 12 to 14.

In the first half of next week, the temperature will be high. It is possible that there will be showers on August 16-17, but it will not affect the maximum temperature, the sensitivity will be high", Gvazava noted.
