August 7 was declared day of mourning due to Shovi tragedy

Due to the tragedy that happened in Shovi, Monday, August 7 was declared a day of mourning.

 

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, announced about the relevant decision after the meeting held at the disaster liquidation emergency headquarters.

 

"We had a discussion that they will actively continue working today and on the weekend, and according to our decision, a day of mourning will be announced on Monday," Gharibashvili said.

 

The landslide in Shovi has killed 7 people. 210 people have been evacuated from the disaster area.
