Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, held a working meeting with the MEDEF INTERNATIONAL President and French entrepreneurs during the visit of President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili to France.
Economic relations between the two countries was the main topic of the conversation. Georgian Minister introduced new investment opportunities to the French businessmen.
“We are interested in bringing more French investors to Georgia and having more French businesses in the country, so today’s meeting organized by the largest French business union – the MEDEF INTERNATIONAL, was particularly important in this regard,” – Natia Turnava said.
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development noted that the meeting was attended by numerous entrepreneurs and it is important that the French business representatives expressed great interest in doing business in Georgia, finding partners in the country and exploring new opportunities.
“Construction companies also confirmed their interest and it is very promising since this field is highly developed in France. They are eager to participate in our new infrastructure projects, in the energy and transport sector. They are also interested in the development of mountain resorts, as France has huge legacy in this field. We informed them on our new development plans and the projects in term of upcoming winter championship to be held in our country. We talked about the infrastructure that needs to be provided and they confirmed they are ready to enter the market and provide us with assistance,” – Natia Turnava said.
