There is still positive trend in wine export and there was with 4% growth, though the rate of increase is declining, first of all, at the expense of large market - Russian market, - Levan Mekhuzla, the Director of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, told reporters on Thursday.

He said the decline in the wine export is linked with current political processes.

“The most important event of the year is coming up - Vintage 2019. We have done some preparatory work, analyzing the current situation, and we are expecting some challenges, including a repeat of last year's record vintage harvest amid less demand. Less demand for grapes is due to the decline in wine export rates. There is still positive trend in wine export and there was with 4% growth, though the rate of increase is declining, first of all, at the expense of large market - Russian market, " said Levan Mekhuzla.
