Anri Okhanashvili on Mykhailo Podolyak’s statement: I am not interested in the absurd positions of people who are hostile to our country

I am not interested in the absurd positions of people who are hostile to our country, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee Anri Okhanashvili thus responded to the statement made by the Adviser to the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak.

Okhanashvili believes that similar statements are hostile to the country.

"Those people who make statements against the interests of our people and the country, the sovereignty of the country, cannot be considered by us as desirable persons. These people make statements against our country and the interests of our country mean nothing to them. In my opinion, such statements should be limited only to this kind of comment," Okhanashvili said.

When asked to whether it is expected that the Ukrainian side will present evidence proving that Georgia is helping Russia to circumvent sanctions, Okhanashvili replied by saying.

"I answered you, you are not interested in the answer, the television channels belonging to political parties are not focused on listening to the answers", Okhanashvili said.

To the remark of a media representative that journalists have additional questions and have the right to ask these questions, Okhanashvili said: "Don't raise your voice, adjust your tone. You already heard an answer from me, but you are not interested in hearing the answer, you have a preconceived opinion. You formally ask a question and you have no interest in hearing and receiving an answer," Okhanashvili said.

For information, the advisor to the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that if necessary, documents proving cooperation with Moscow will be submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the above, he evaluated the position of the Georgian Government, in particular, the statements that Ukraine wants to drag Georgia into war and that the Ukrainian authorities have not presented any proof that Georgia is cooperating with Moscow. "We are studying all this and if necessary, we will submit legal evidence," said Podolyak.
