According to Rati Bregadze, the State is interested in bringing all persons, who committed war crimes against the Georgian population in August 2008, to justice and the Government will do everything for that.

"In 2008, the whole world saw the aggression against Georgia, which the Georgian army resisted to with dignity, and many heroes sacrificed their lives to the Russian aggression in order to protect their homeland. Naturally, it is the duty of each of us to do everything to immortalize the memory of these heroes who, both in 2008 and in other periods, gave the most precious thing that a person has, their own life, for the motherland and the life of each of us.

Georgia continued to fight to prove the truth, and according to the decisions of the Strasbourg Court, it can be safely said that Georgia was right from the beginning to the end, both in this war and during any other aggression. The truth is on Georgia's side. Of course, all of this still requires a struggle, and each of us is ready to continue this struggle, so that to achieve our goal, which implies the complete de-occupation of the territory and the spread of Georgia's sovereignty over the entire territory of the country, as it is recognized according to international agreements.

It was as a result of the active work of the Georgian side that it became possible for Georgia to win in Strasbourg. The decision of The Hague also revealed the truth once and for all - who was right and who was a liar. Georgia was right," said the Minister.
