If Ivanishvili returns to power, he will no longer have the status of an oligarch - it will become clear to everyone that there is no shadow person with influence on the Government anymore, Girchi MP Vakhtang Megrelishvili said.

 

At the same time, Megrelishvili stated that he is not in favor of adopting a law similar to the Ukrainian law on de-oligarchization.

 

"I don't approve the Ukrainian model and as far as I know other parties aren't excited about it either. The context of the Ukrainian model is completely different. I don't agree with this idea. We cannot adopt such a pointless law just because of telling the European Union that we have implemented something. This is not correct. We do not agree with the Ukrainian model," Megrelishvili said.
