03.08.22 12:00

Georgian Dream has supporters, people who share the peace policy that the Government is pursuing today. Accordingly, I think that Georgian Dream will not have a problem in terms of losing voters, - this is how Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze answered a journalist's question whether the MPs who left Georgian Dream may take away votes from the ruling team if they create a new political party.

According to him, Georgian Dream has loyal voters.

"Every politician makes his own decision about what to do in the next stage of his life. Therefore, I find it difficult to talk about their decision. Georgian Dream has loyal voters. Georgian Dream has supporters, people who share the peace policy pursued by the Government today. Accordingly, I think that Georgian Dream will not have a problem in terms of losing voters.

The decision made by these MPs was accompanied by an explanation of why they took this step and also an explanation of why they would support the ruling team on certain issues. Accordingly, everything is clear", said Kaladze.

For information, according to Sozar Subari, the MP who has left the majority, a decision was made to establish a public movement - "People's Power". According to him, if they see that the Government can no longer withstand the pressure related to the war, they may transform the movement into a political party.
