In September, we will apply to the Parliament and adjust the budget. We will increase the budget, since due to such a high economic growth, we have additional revenues, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at the governmental meeting.

According to him, salaries of civil servants will increase by at least 10% every year until 2026.

"Certainly, we will have more funds to be distributed among agencies and more projects will be financed. It also allows us to increase wages for public sector employees. There had been virtually no increase in public sector wages until 2020, which I think was a big mistake. The gap between private and public sector wages is too large and needs to be addressed. In January, salaries increased by 10% for all civil servants. This will be followed by at least a 10% increase every year until 2026, which will amount to a total of 50% increase over the next few years. This dynamic needs to be maintained, we have good initiatives that we will start from September. I want to emphasize the importance of the stability that the ruling team has maintained during this period. I want to tell the population that we will maintain peace and high economic growth, which means more prosperity for our citizens and the country," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
