Strategy­ Builder released a statement on the story aired on TV Pirveli regarding surveillance on US Ambassador Kelly Degnan by the State Security Service and declares. According to the party, it is a violation not only of international conventions, but also of the norms of relations between friendly states.

"We saw the facts yesterday in the story of TV Pirveli that the structure called the Security Service of Georgia, the so-called SSG, was spying and surveilling the Ambassador of the friendly country of Georgia, the main strategic partner, the US ambassador, which is not only a violation of international conventions, but also a violation of norms of relations between friendly states.

The fact that you impose total surveillance on the Ambassador of your friendly country, as a dangerous, unreliable person for state security, is an unimaginable hostile and unfriendly action on the part of the Georgian Dream government!

It is necessary to punish all those who gave the order and who executed the spying on the diplomats.

This story also reveals that they are openly eavesdropping on members of Parliament, as we confirm the existence of conversations of similar content. Surveilling, watching, spying on a member of the Parliament is a gross violation of the Constitution.

While the government has switched to the policy of flattering Russia, they don't even mention Russia and Putin as enemies and spy on the ambassadors of friendly countries, it is a complete lustration of the government and a confirmation of the degradation of state structures that they cannot tell enemies and friends and are not the security services of Georgia, but security structures of Ivanishvili.
