Competition commission submits candidates for CEC chairmanship and membership to President

The competition commission selected and presented candidates for the CEC chairmanship and membership to the President. In particular, the competition commission nominated three persons as candidates for the chairmanship of the Central Election Commission: Revaz Egadze, Giorgi Kalandarishvili and Tamar Alpaidze.

 

As for the two vacant positions of the CEC membership, the competition commission nominated 5 persons: Kristine Kajaia, Levan Isakadze, Maia Zaridze, Gia Tsatsashvili and Rusudan Kurdiani.

 

In accordance with the legislation, no later than 7 days after the selection of candidates by the competition commission, the President of Georgia shall make a decision on the selection of the candidates nominated by the commission and shall submit them to the Parliament of Georgia for election.
