Our question regarding the meeting between Degnan and Ivanishvili was caused by the processes ongoing behind the scenes - we were high political officials and we had information, you should not be surprised, former member of the parliamentary majority Dimitri Khundadze told journalists.

 

According to him, "silence is sometimes a proof that risky processes are supported by those who, on the contrary, should be insuring them". In this context, he said that the Ambassador was silent on certain questions.

 

"The US Ambassador did not answer questions about the war rhetoric, she chose to remain silent when she was asked if the court decision became grounds for sanctioning the judge and preventing him from traveling to the US. Questions were also asked about the meeting between Ivanishvili and Kelly Degnan. This question was caused by the processes going on behind the scenes, which we are not talking about at this stage, and Degnan's silence further increased this interest," said Khundadze.

 

When asked about how they got information about the closed meeting, Khundadze replied:

 

"We are involved in active politics. We were high political officials and we had information, you should not be surprised".
