The 245th anniversary of independence in the United States was celebrated with large-scale fireworks. Almost all Independence Day celebrations were canceled last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, the citizens celebrated the Independence Day in the open space.


In New York, which was the epicenter of the pandemic, the night sky was lit by fireworks. Citizens greeted each other on Independence Day with shouts, while bands played patriotic songs.

 

Reuters writes that against the background of the spread of the more aggressive "Delta" version of the "Covid-19", this Independence Day was an opportunity for Americans to show patriotism and a personal sense of freedom.
