New 10-GEL banknotes to be put in circulation starting October 1

The new 10-GEL banknotes will be put in circulation starting October 1 – Koba Gvenetadze, President of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) said during the presentation.

 

The new banknote has a different portrait of the Georgian writer and poet Akaki Tsereteli with a relief quality and volume as well as passage from Tsereteli’s poem “Spring” with his autograph.

 

The backside presents the painting of Davit Kakabadze “Imereti – My mother” and the state anthem.
