Restaurants and hotels with permission are reopened from today onwards

08.06.20 10:00

From today, restaurants are permitted once again to offer every type of service. The decision was made by the Coordinating Council on 27 May.

In addition, the hotels that passed the Healthcare Ministry check will be allowed to reopen too.

The restaurants will be working according to recommendations from today onwards.

The general recommendation includes the usage of booking services and favoring cash-free payments. Apart from this, the recommendations also advise on using disposable table-linens and special measures for cleaning in shared spaces (WCs, corridors, halls, elevators, etc.). Namely, the 2-hours shift for cleaning would be introduced.

As for indoor restaurants, the 2-meters distance should be respected between the tables. The maximum number of 6 people can sit at the same table. The exceptions would be family members and under-12 children.

In addition, the 1-meter distance will be a must between the individuals sitting at the same table. The necessary area for one person amounts to 2.25 m2.

According to the document, the indoor spaces should be equipped with natural ventilation. However, if it's not possible - it is allowed to use artificial ventilation which uses a high concentration of outdoor air, circulates it, and takes it out.

As for the menu, it is recommended for the restaurants to offer their clients a disposable printed menu. In the case of electronic menus, the disinfection solutions for hygienic use should be installed beside the menu desks.

For the record, the outdoor restaurants and cafes have been reopened from 1 June.
