We expect Georgia to hold free and fair parliamentary elections this year. In the context of the elections, I would like to emphasize the importance of maintaining an inclusive political dialogue between the parties, Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok said after the meeting with his Georgian counterpart.

The Dutch FM noted that Georgia is a stable factor in the changeable region.

“Georgia is an important country in terms of security. It is a stable factor in the changeable region and in values such as the rule of law, human rights, and democracy. With its hard work and reforms, Georgia has truly become an exemplary country in the region. This, of course, has created high expectations of maintaining this standard. We expect Georgia to hold free and fair parliamentary elections this year. In the context of elections, I would like to emphasize the importance of maintaining inclusive political dialogue between the parties. This will guarantee Georgia to become stronger as a democracy and as a nation. The Netherlands will be an ally of Georgia both in the process of implementing reforms and in the direction of the projects that are being carried out," Stef Blok said.
