Today, December 6, on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the opening of the Streets of Heroes of Ukraine and Georgia would be a good opportunity to pay respect to Ukrainian and Georgian soldiers, said Ukraine's Charge d'Affaires, Andrii Kasianov, at the 2022 summary briefing held at the Embassy of Ukraine.
According to Kasianov, the Embassy of Ukraine has not yet received a response from the chairman of the Tbilisi City Council to the repeated official call to commemorate the bravery of the heroes fighting for the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and Georgia.
"Ukraine also needs moral support, but we have not yet received an official response from the chairman of the Tbilisi City Council to the repeated official call to commemorate the bravery of the heroes fighting for the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and Georgia. Today, December 6, on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the opening of the Streets of Heroes of Ukraine and Georgia would be a good opportunity to pay respect to all those Ukrainian and Georgian soldiers who courageously defended our countries against the common enemy - the Russian Federation," Kasianov said.
According to Kasianov, Ukraine needs help in restoring the energy and electricity supply system.
"Ukraine is in dire need of help rebuilding the electrical power system right now - generators and transformers to provide lighting for hospitals, homes and schools - the Kremlin's inhuman and executioners are sincere in their intent - they want to kill Ukrainians with cold. A month ago, we addressed the Georgian government with a relevant request, and unfortunately, we have not received a positive decision so far," Kasianov said.
