People are overwhelmed by constant negative information, lockouts, deaths - it is true that the death toll is great and caution is absolutely necessary, but we should not give in to despair or be afraid. We must be strengthened by the belief that death does not mean the end of existence, - reads the Christmas epistle of the Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.

According to the Epistle, if you are in great pain or suffering, you are a victim of human wickedness, enmity, envy, betrayal.

"Of course, each of us has our cross to bear, but there are also common ordeals. For example, a pandemic today is like that.

People are stressed by constant negative information, lockouts, deaths ... It is true that the death toll is great and caution is absolutely necessary, but we should not give in to despair or be afraid. We must be strengthened by the belief that death does not mean the end of existence because the human soul is immortal. The important thing is not to fall victim to spiritual death, eternal suffering.

Every citizen of Georgia, compatriots living abroad, in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region, in general, everyone who values Christmas and considers himself/herself a child of our church - please live for each other and for the homeland”, reads the Epistle.
