Georgia reports 2,097 new cases of coronavirus, 51 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 39,036 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 23,112 antigen tests and 15,924 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 2,097 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 932,641.

 

As of December 29, the daily rate of positive is 5.37%, for the last 14 days - 5.57% and for 7 days - 5.15%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 2,331 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 893,064. 51 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 13,758 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 2,097 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 887 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 222, Imereti - 309, Kvemo Kartli - 114, Shida Kartli - 97, Guria - 92, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 140, Kakheti - 135, Mtskheta-Mtianeti -49, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 30, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -22.
