According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, as of Monday, 58% of doctors were fully vaccinated and 76% are vaccinated once.

 

"I have summary statistics on Monday which shows at least 76% of doctors were vaccinated once and 58% were fully vaccinated. Relatively fewer, within the 50% range, are nurses, and even relatively less are the vaccination rates among junior medical staff, somewhere around 35%. The vaccination rate of the administrative staff of medical institutions is up to 50%, it is not satisfactory, I will tell you directly", - stated Gamlkrelidze

 

In addition, Gamkrelidze reiterated the view that vaccination of medical staff and teachers should be mandatory.

 

"You know that I have voiced my personal opinion several times, I would like the vaccination of medical staff and teachers to be mandatory", - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
