The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation into the information spread by the media regarding the secret recordings.
"The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation into the information spread by the media regarding the secret recordings and violation of the secrets of private communication, a crime under Article 158, Parts 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
We urge all those with whom illegal recordings and materials may be kept to cooperate with the investigation. In addition, we urge all media outlets that have such material to cooperate with the investigation this time, provide us with the evidence at their disposal and refrain from releasing private and personal information", - the Prosecutor's Office told InterPressNews.
