According to the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze, there will be no reprimands against the ruling party when the main opposition party and the main source of radicalization has not joined the agreement for 100 days and has not stopped the radicalization of the processes.
"Despite calls from President Michel, the US Embassy and other international partners, the four opposition parties, including the largest opposition party, the National Movement, have not signed the Michel Agreement.
It was only the Georgian Dream that fully fulfilled its obligations under the agreement, in a way that in the end, it became a one-sided process, which contradicts the idea of the agreement.
The agreement signed by 115 deputies was indeed annulled, although we should not forget that 84 out of 115 deputies are members of the majority. Four opposition political entities and the majority of opposition MPs (!) have not signed this document. Moreover, the "National Movement" not only didn't take steps to depolarize the situation, but also used this document to further radicalize the process, increase the level of controversy and fully turn on the disinformation machine.
Consequently, naturally, there can be no reprimands against the ruling party when the main opposition party and the main source of radicalization has not joined the agreement for 100 days and has not stopped the radicalization of the processes.
The 2020 parliamentary elections and subsequent political negotiations, which ended with the agreement of President Michel, secured multi-party representation in parliament and put an end to the National Movement's monopoly on the opposition. Our political team "Georgian Dream" is focused on the future and with the support of the public, is ready for another victory! The next important step will be the self-government elections, which we will hold in a transparent, improved regulation, in a fair and competitive environment. As a result, about a month after the end of the self-government elections, the agenda of the radical forces will expire, the country will be able to gain peace and return to normal development through effective government work, citizen involvement and support of international partners", - Talakvadze wrote on the social network.
