Irakli Gharibashvili: Our country cannot withstand another lockdown, nor restrictions, as they will be detrimental to our country's economy

According to Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, there are no plans to lock down the country. As Gharibashvili explained at the governmental session, they have chosen another way - to manage the pandemic.

 

According to the Prime Minister, restrictions would damage the country's economy.

 

"There has been a lot of talks lately about lockdown. I want to state that we have chosen another path - to manage the pandemic. We must do everything to manage effectively the epidemic. Our country cannot withstand another lockdown, nor restrictions, as they will be detrimental to our country's economy, it will make us take an extra few billion dollars in debt. Therefore, dear friends and citizens, we ask everyone to get vaccinated, which is safe, and I want to reiterate once again that we should believe in scientists and not thousands of misinformation and lies spread via Facebook and other means," Gharibashvili said.
