Murder in Novosibirsk region - are the lives of Azerbaijanis not important?

08.06.21 23:35

On May 25, 2020, in the American city of Minneapolis, policeman Derek Shovin used force when arresting African American George Floyd (he pressed his knee to Floyd's neck and held it for 7 minutes and 46 seconds during his arrest), who subsequently died. American civil society is outraged by this racially motivated crime. Although the police officer did not use his service weapon and did not shoot, the deceased George Floyd was both a drug addict and a recidivist criminal. But this did not justify the policeman in any way!

The whole of America was rocked by the Black Lives Matter movement, which united all segments of the population, African Americans and whites, Asians, Latin Americans, and indigenous people of the Indians. This move ultimately cost the presidency of George Trump, who was previously the favorite in the 2020 election campaign.

A little over 1 year later, on May 28, 2021, in Russia in the Moshkovsky district of the Novosibirsk region, an innocent young man, a citizen of Russia of Azerbaijani nationality, a native of Georgia, Vakil Abdullayev, was murdered by a police officer. Vakil Abdullayev hails from the Kvemo Kartli region of Dmanisi municipality, Azgalyan village.

Vakil Abdullaev, 19, was driving with friends in a car that was stopped by the police (DPS - Highway Patrol Service) for speeding. He tried to intercede for his comrade, whom the police began to “knit” roughly with the use of force, but the traffic police officer Alexander Gusev took out his service weapon and shot Vakil in the head point-blank.

As soon as it became known about the murder, all the media began to write as "on request" that the shot was "accidental." But "accidentally" they do not aim at the head, and no one shoots at point-blank range. The murder was clearly deliberate. Unlike the same George Floyd, whom the policeman clearly did not intend to choke to death, he simply did not calculate his strength and did not know that Floyd was suffering from heart failure and was under the strong influence of recently taken drugs.

But instead of demanding a fair punishment for the killer policeman, the local so-called "civil society" was instantly organized to protect him. Moreover, it was precisely the fact that the murdered man was firstly an Azeri, and secondly, a native of Georgia that “inspired” the people intoxicated by xenophobia to defend the murderer. From a country that has become almost "hated" by many Russian inhabitants, deceived by the "official" anti-Georgian propaganda, such propagandists as Margarita Simonyan and others like them.

By the decision of the Central District Court of Novosibirsk, the killer policeman Alexander Gusev was first taken into custody. Formally, on charges of committing crimes under Art. 286 h. 3 p. "A" and "b" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Excess of official powers with the use of violence and causing grave consequences" and Art. 118 h. 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Infliction of grievous bodily harm by negligence." Although even the articles of accusation were presented to Gusev soft - after all, there was no "grievous bodily harm by negligence", but deliberate murder and not at all "by negligence."

But even this was not enough for the killer's defenders. The so-called "Novosibirsk public activists", who had previously been absolutely indifferent to any injustices against the population on the part of the authorities, suddenly sharply "organized" and created a petition demanding the release of Alexander Gusev. As of June 4, more than 18 thousand residents have signed it. And the Russian political activist, publicist and public figure, journalist of the RT channel (whose editor-in-chief is the well-known Margarita Simonyan) Marina Butina called in a "telegram" to call to reward (!) The murderer of a young Azerbaijani:

“Each of us is now obliged to protect this traffic police officer. Even if what happened, the use of a service weapon, would not have been an "involuntary shot", but purposeful, it would have been 100% within the framework of the right field. There is a threat to the life and health of a police officer, the Federal Law "On the Police" in Article 19 Part 2 clearly says that he is not obliged to warn about the use if there is a danger. Remove all charges from him and reward him for his service. There is no other way. "

Other media, too, "as ordered" also began to justify the murderer and "pity" his family. Moreover, for some reason, it was absolutely falsely stated that the deceased citizen of Russia Vakil Abdullaev was an “illegal migrant”. On what grounds? Just because he has an Azerbaijani surname? But at the same time, no one doubts the legality of Bagdasarov, Simonyan, and the like in the Russian Federation. There is a deliberate incitement of anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Turkic xenophobia in Russian society, which, as the story of the murder in the Novosibirsk region has shown, is already seriously ill with xenophobia.

An article “The wife of the policeman who shot an Azerbaijani policeman in Moshkovo asked Putin for protection” was posted on the Continent Siberia Online website, clearly provocative and inciting national hatred (https://ksonline.ru/410002/zhena-vystrelivshego-v-azerbajdzhantsa-politsejskogo- v-moshkovo-poprosila-u-putina-zashhitu/) and a completely biased survey: "How do you assess the situation with the traffic police officer who shot 19-year-old Vakil Abdullaev in Moshkovo?"

The proposed answers are arranged as follows (in parentheses, the percentage of those who voted in favor of this or that answer as of the evening of June 4, 2020):

• The inspector was doing his job, he needs to be released from arrest and rewarded, as suggested by journalist Maria Butina (40%)

• I think it is pointless to discuss this situation - let the court decide everything. No need to pressure him with public opinion (30%)

• The inspector has exceeded his authority by taking actions incommensurate with the threat that has arisen and must respond to the fullest extent of the law (10%)

• The deceased provoked a police officer by his actions, and this must be taken into account when passing a sentence (10%)

• Another answer (in comments) (10%)

• It is necessary to talk about this case as a manifestation of the systemic problem of unprofessionalism in law enforcement agencies (0%)

Notice how the answers are selected in order. In the first place - the proposal not only to release the killer but also to reward, as suggested by the journalist of Simonyanovskaya RT. The point about punishing the murderer according to the law is only the third! It is unthinkable to imagine that such a "poll" on the murder of George Floyd by the police was arranged by some newspaper in the United States with such provocative "responses". He would have literally been literally "inundated" with lawsuits regarding incitement to racial hatred. And here - as if it should be. And 40% would vote for the person who killed the Azerbaijani youth from Georgia not only to let go but also to reward - so the society is sick and infected with xenophobia.

That is, instead of the American Black Lives Matter, in Russia the fifth column and the enemies of the multinational Russian statehood specifically launched a movement that can be called “The lives of Azerbaijanis are not important”. And they began to make heroes of the murderer of an innocent young man.

However, the apotheosis of the defense of the murderer of a young Azerbaijani from Georgia was that against the background of the xenophobic hysteria that broke out in Russian, traffic police inspector Alexander Gusev was released from the pre-trial detention center on June 4, changing the measure to restraint "not to leave the place and proper behavior. Moreover, when the killer policeman was released, Margarita Simonyan immediately shared this news in her Telegram this news with the comment “Excellent”.

In principle, the Russian law enforcement system has already demonstrated its xenophobia and discriminatory practices in its work by organizing the deportation of Georgian citizens in 2006. Then the Georgian government and many human rights defenders sided with the unjustly persecuted people based on ethnicity. In 2019, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that the deportation affected at least 1,500 Georgian citizens. According to the decision of the ECHR, 10 million euros should be distributed among the victims.

Now a glaring fact has occurred - murder based on xenophobia and discrimination. A native of Georgia of Azerbaijani nationality, an absolutely innocent 19-year-old Azerbaijani, who was just a passenger of a car that exceeded the speed limit, was killed only for his origin, and the killer was released. The Georgian authorities must respond to this racist xenophobic lawlessness, all the more so as the Caucasian phobia in the Russian Federation, whipped up by provocateurs and ultranationalists, hits first of all on Georgia. After all, the Kremlin propaganda in the hands of people like Margarita Simonyan in the minds of Russian citizens creates an "enemy image" of Georgia.

In conclusion, it must be said that xenophobia and patronage of murderer police set a dangerous precedent and plant a "time bomb" under Russia itself. The fifth column is clearly working for the collapse of Russia, represented, among other things, by the powerful Armenian lobby, posing as its “only friends”.

Thanks to such provocateurs and saboteurs, Russia has already become absolutely unnaturally hostile to the fraternal Orthodox countries - Georgia and Ukraine. The next step is inciting enmity with the Turkic Muslim countries and xenophobia towards the Turkic and Muslim peoples living in the Russian Federation itself. This is fraught with the very real catastrophe of Russian statehood, conflicts, and chaos if such destructive processes are not stopped and suppressed.
