In separatist Abkhazia, a scandal flares up around the Hare Krishna sect. It turned out that in the boarding school "Country of Soul", owned by the local branch of the so-called International Society for Krishna Consciousness, pedophilia, and the abuse of boys by the so-called "educators" and "mentors" are flourishing.

For a long time, let us recall that it was the Hare Krishnas who was promoted by the separatist regime as an example of its supposedly “religious tolerance”. In conditions when without exception all Georgian Orthodox priests and monks were expelled from separatist Abkhazia or killed, the Hare Krishna sectarians, with their religious views absolutely alien not only to Abkhazia but also to the entire Caucasus, were given every opportunity.

Moreover, the separatist authorities of Sukhumi took credit for their favor towards the Hare Krishnas. Say, during the times of the Georgian SSR, this religious movement was persecuted, but in "independent Abkhazia" it flourishes.

But recently, an article appeared on the REN TV website "Krishnaites were accused of molesting children in a boarding school in Abkhazia" (https://ren.tv/news/x/839064-krishnaitov-obvinili-v-rastlenii-detei-v-shkole -internet-v-Abkhazia), which showed the true face of the “friends” of the separatist regime. “A loud scandal is brewing in Abkhazia around the boarding school“ Country of the Soul ”, where the leaders and pupils are Hare Krishnas. The fact is that one of the mothers learned from her own son what non-standard teaching methods are used there, and was simply shocked. If you believe the words of a teenager, then the boys there are molested in the truest sense of the word, they are kissed, touched by the genitals, and forced to walk naked. Moreover, the leader himself does this, and he does not deny it.

Abkhazia. Boarding school "Country of the Soul". She was hidden away from prying eyes. The nearest settlement is 40 minutes on foot. This place is called the "family educational project for boys" or simply - gurukula. Hare Krishna leaders, pupils too. They promise to make real men out of children for 15 thousand rubles a month in all commercials. Teach Sanskrit, shoot a bow, strengthen strength and spirit. But, as they themselves point out, using non-standard techniques. 6-year-old Artyom, we had to change the name, spent only a week here.
He was not allowed to contact his mother. Crying. Only later, on the way home, he and his friend will reveal the non-standard methods that are used in this school. The boy's mother asked not to show her face and change her voice. Afraid of becoming an outcast in the community. When she found out that this was not just a school, she immediately took the child.

“He touched the genitals of the children, whether he raped or not, nobody knows to this day. Until now, no one has said, but that he undressed teenagers of 14 years old ... He smeared something, it was, and that he was putting a 4-year-old child into bed, ”the woman says.
We are talking about the head of the school - Vanamali. In the world - Vladimir Khoruzhy. His followers call him a "charismatic leader." He has been raising boys for almost 10 years.

He definitely created favorable conditions for himself. And for his strange addictions, he already had to make excuses.
Vera Moskaleva is also a Hare Krishna. She has been investigating this school for over five years. He says that it was opened with the money of the founder of Russian ISKCON, the Center for Societies for Krishna Consciousness - Vadim Tuneyev. And the first complaints about Khoruzhego appeared in the 13th year. Two years later, another one. Then, in 2018. It was about rods and corruption.

“The children themselves testify that they are undressing, standing naked, and Vanamali is talking on the phone at that moment. They are standing, and he is admiring and talking to someone, ”said Moskaleva.

The boys were apparently intimidated. They were able to admit how they were brought up only after a few years - and then, only to a psychologist.

This is a 2018 report of the Family Education Committee of Russian ISKCON on three pages about the conversation with Vanamali. It literally says: we have not met a single child from Abkhazia who would be: psychologically healthy; academically successful; knows how to communicate with other children. There were checks. But the school is still working.

Now the leadership of the Center for Societies for Krishna Consciousness is denying the "Land of the Soul", and supposedly the school never had anything to do with them.

"We were not able to apply administrative measures, because this is a private independent project, we could not close it, we could not influence, it is independent, independent of us," says Mikhail Frolov, head of the legal service of the centralized religious organization Center of Societies for Krishna Consciousness in Russia...

Punishment, humiliation, corruption. Children do not receive a proper education. And the fact that the school itself, and supposedly does not belong to anyone, according to experts, is such a trick - nothing more.
“They always give up theirs and always give up theirs, as we see, nevertheless, they may not officially, but recommend their members to give their children to the gurukula. If they had announced that they had nothing to do with them, then none of the Hare Krishnaites would have given their children there, ”says Alexander Dvorkin, a researcher of modern religious sectarianism.

The undressing of boys was also denied: “We do not strip boys naked. Nobody touches the genitals. "

Although, what is there to be surprised - after all, the Islamophobia of the real masters of Abkhazia, the Armenian nationalists, is well known.

Let us also recall that, according to some religious scholars, the Hare Krishnas are one of the most insidious totalitarian sects, rooted in "Aryan" India. Still, they perceive this religious trend as "Aryan", and given the love of many Armenians for the Nazi Garegin Nzhdeh (not only a bloody executioner but also a pervert), such sympathy is quite understandable.

The scandal with Hare Krishna pedophiles in separatist Abkhazia will certainly continue. It is not excluded that separatist officials who patronized the Hare Krishnas and in every possible way promoted the sect as "an example of religious tolerance in Abkhazia" also pressed participation in the molestation of unfortunate children in the Hare Krishna boarding school.
