Police detained 6 people near the central office of the Georgian Dream, where members of the youth wing of European Georgia and the movement Georgia are holding a rally.


As the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Goga Memanishvili told journalists, the activists were arrested for petty hooliganism and disobeying the lawful request of the police.

 

In addition, after one of the activists, Davit Kapanadze, was detained by police, he opened the door tried to get out of a police car moving on the road, which the police did not allow him to do.

 

"He was cursing, insulting and did not obey our lawful request", - Goga Memanishvili said.

 

Activists approached the car of one of the members of the Georgian Dream with a banner with protest content. Clashes between activists and law enforcement took place at this time. In addition, in protest, activists tried to sit on the roadway, which was not allowed by law enforcement.

 

For information, the activists are protesting against the content of the audio recording aired on TV Pirveli and say that an investigation should have been launched into this content.
