As part of the intensive testing, 17,398 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 12,166 antigen testing and 5,232 PCR testing.
The tests revealed 1,550 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 249,465. In the last 24 hours, 494 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 235,130. There have been 15 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 2,973 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 1,550 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 647 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 58, Imereti - 249, Kvemo Kartli - 93, Shida Kartli - 95, Guria - 53, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 145, Kakheti - 106, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 41, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 49, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 14.
