In large cities, the second semester in schools will resume on January 18 in a remote format. Ekaterine Dgebuadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports stated about it at the briefing.
As Dgebuadze noted, the educational process in other schools on the territory of Georgia will be resumed in the classrooms.
"The second semester of 2020-21 starts on January 18, 2021. This semester will start in accordance with the decree of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of November 27, 2020, meaning that in large cities - Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Telavi, Zugdidi, Zestaponi, Gori, Poti, Marneuli and Gardabani - the learning process will start remotely, the general education institutions operating on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara will also start the educational process in remote format. As for the rest of the schools on the territory of Georgia, the educational process will start in the classrooms. As you know, the Ministry of Education has provided support in terms of hygienic sanitation and equipped schools with all necessary disinfectants. All other schools are prepared to meet the renewal of the semester and all these schools will start the learning process in the classroom", - Dgebuadze said.
