Sukhumi separatists do not want to learn the "Lessons of Karabakh" and panic over Georgian drones

"Lessons from Karabakh - it is obvious for Abkhazia why Georgia buys drones" (https://eadaily.com/ru/news/2020/12/25/uroki-karabaha-dlya-abhazii-ochevidno-zachem-gruziya-zakupaet-drony) Under such an eloquent headline, a material was published on the pro-Armenian resource Eadaily, which tells about the “concern” of the so-called “Foreign Ministry of the separatist Sukhumi regime with the growth of Georgia’s military potential.

“Once again, the Georgian leadership, while actively building up its military potential, justifies its actions solely by the need to ensure security and stability in the region. However, it is extremely difficult to justify plans to buy reconnaissance and combat UAVs solely in self-defense interests, the separatist Foreign Ministry said.

The plans to purchase a batch of reconnaissance and combat unmanned aerial vehicles in 2021 became known from the speech of the Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili during the parliamentary hearings. In addition, he noted that an agreement was recently signed with Israel on the renewal and complete modernization of Georgia's air defense system.

As emphasized in Sukhumi, in the light of the recent events in Nagorno-Karabakh, where unmanned combat aircraft were actively used, thanks to the use of which the Azerbaijani side was able to develop an offensive operation, Georgia's plans to purchase such types of modern high-precision weapons are of particular relevance.

"It is quite obvious that these modern types of weapons can be used exclusively for the military solution of unresolved conflicts," said the so-called separatist Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia.

Such actions of the Georgian authorities, say in Sukhumi, “clearly demonstrate Georgia's openly hostile attitude towards its closest neighbors and completely devalue any declarative steps on its commitment to a peaceful settlement of existing conflicts.
There is no doubt that the course of militarizing Georgia is actively supported by official Washington, which acts as a strategic partner of Tbilisi, ”the separatist Foreign Ministry said.

Sukhumi is convinced that the intensification of the militarization process in Georgia is "extremely dangerous and poses a direct threat to peace and stability."

“Given the current situation, the Abkhaz side intends to demand detailed explanations from the US representatives regarding the intentions of the Georgian leadership to build up military potential and substantiated arguments about the plans for the further use of such high-precision and extremely effective offensive weapons in our region,” the separatist Foreign Ministry said.

Now, at the request of the Sukhumi separatists, the US representatives abandoned everything and ran to account to them for arming Georgia with drones! This very assumption looks ridiculous and absurd.

Similarly, both the Sukhumi separatists and the Armenian lobby behind them have not learned any lessons from the second Karabakh war. And they should have been extracted.

The main lesson for the separatists is that as long as they give chances to resolve the conflict peacefully, they need to be used. Since the beginning of the liberation war, it will be too late to do this.

For almost 27 years Azerbaijan has offered the Armenian occupants to resolve the conflict peacefully. Azerbaijan offered to liberate the occupied regions around the former NKAO in an amicable way, to return the refugees, to develop a "road map" for the peaceful reintegration of the Armenian population of Karabakh into the Azerbaijani state. No war, no unnecessary sacrifices.

But the invaders and "Artsakh" separatists did not want to resolve the issue peacefully. And in the end, they received a crushing defeat.

So far, the Sukhumi separatists also have time to resolve the issue of the peaceful de-occupation of Abkhazia in an amicable way. This also applies to the Abkhaz Armenians, if later they do not want to leave a foreign land at breakneck speed, as did the Armenian settlers in the Azerbaijani Kelbajar. But for this, we need to act now. It is necessary to immediately release other people's houses and apartments, return them to refugees and their descendants, ask for forgiveness for the battalion to them. Baghramyan among the Georgian people. And then there will be a chance to preserve their homes and count on an amnesty for crimes committed during the 1992-1993 war. Otherwise, you will have to really hastily leave Abkhazia. Or be destroyed during the operation to restore the territorial integrity of Georgia.

And the hysterical screams of the separatist Foreign Ministry regarding the arming of the Georgian army with drones and "complaints" about this to Washington will not help here. To prevent the "Karabakh scenario" from repeating in Abkhazia, the separatist regime and the occupation of this Georgian territory must be eliminated peacefully, and the refugees must return to their homes without any restrictions.
