Georgia reports 4033 new cases of coronavirus, 39 deaths

4,033 new cases of the virus have been identified, - Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of Operations at the Interagency Coordinating Council, said at a briefing at the Government Administration.

 

"As of today, 4,033 new cases of the virus have been identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 143,376.

 

4,061 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, and the total number of recoveries has increased to 121,621.


Unfortunately, we have 39 new cases of coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. As of February 26, 2020, we have a total of 1,342 deaths.

 

Out of 4,033 new cases of infection detected today, 1,705 cases were detected in Tbilisi, 402 in Adjara, 624 in Imereti, 286 in Kvemo Kartli, 281 in Shida Kartli, 84 in Guria, 273 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 239 in Kakheti, 62 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 68 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 9 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti", - said Sichinava.
