Georgia reports 3071 new cases of coronavirus, out of which 1314 were registered in Tbilisi, 523 in Adjara and 264 in Imereti

3,071 new confirmed cases of virus infection have been identified in the last 24 hours, - Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of Operations at the Interagency Coordination Council, said during a briefing at the Government Administration.

 

"As of today, 3,071 new confirmed cases of virus infection have been identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 114,889. According to today's data, the number of recoveries exceeds the number of infected persons. In the last 24 hours, 3,366 people recovered, and the total number of recoveries increased to 95,581.

 

Unfortunately, we have 34 new cases of coronavirus death in the last 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, we have a total of 1,085 deaths.

 

Out of 3,071 new cases of infection detected today, 1,314 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 523, Imereti - 264, Kvemo Kartli - 104, Shida Kartli - 44, Guria - 106, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 232, Kakheti - 214, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 165, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 84, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 21", - said Sichinava.
