According to unofficial reports, the robber who had broken into Bank of Georgia released four hostages in the village of Kirtskhi, Chkhorotsku district, after which he fled.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the search of the robber is underway. The health condition of the hostages themselves is satisfactory. They do not have any injuries. The hostages were interrogated overnight last night.

For the record, armed person broke into Bank of Georgia branch in Zugdidi yesterday. He took 19 people hostage, but released 16 people a few hours later and left the bank with the hostages after his demands were met. The attacker demanded half a million dollar. It should be noted that among the four hostages with whom the gunman left the Bank of Georgia building was one of the directors of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, Avtandil Galdava, who was negotiating directly with the assailant and later replaced most of the hostages.
