Ketevan Tsikhelashvili: Active efforts are being made to remove illegal restrictions at the so-called checkpoint at the Enguri Bridge

According to State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, active efforts are being made to remove illegal restrictions at the so-called checkpoint at the Enguri Bridge in a short period of time.

 

"Now the main priority for me is to care for the interests of people who suffer the most from this illegal restriction. Consequently, along with all other relevant agencies, we are intensively making efforts to eliminate the illegal restrictions in the shortest possible terms.

 

We have had communication through all formal or informal channels since yesterday, including through our partners”, the Minister said.

 

She added that she would make political assessments later.

 

“Now the main thing for me is to prevent that the interests of population are damaged. We should do our best to remove the illegal restrictions in the shortest possible time”, she said.
