I must emphasize that the restrictions do not apply to election agitation and campaigning, because these measures will not impede such activities, - stated the Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia at a government meeting.

According to the Prime Minister, the opening of theaters, cinemas and children's entertainment centers, which was scheduled for October 1, will be postponed until November 1.

"From today, the gathering of more than 200 people at sports or cultural events, in the open air will be prohibited. In closed buildings, as of today, it is already prohibited. I'll say it again - it is prohibited to have more than 200 people in the open air. As for ritual events - unfortunately, we understand that this has caused some discomfort and possibly annoy our citizens, but a good example is one of the weddings held in Tbilisi, I will not name the restaurant, which in fact caused five additional clusters - one in Tsageri, growing cluster, one in Kutaisi, one in Zugdidi, etc. We are expecting an increase in infections in these areas and the main event that caused this, unfortunately, was the wedding. We were forced to add the restriction of more than 10 people to avoid such rituals. This is aimed at protecting the health of our citizens", - said Giorgi Gakharia.
