Sergo Ratiani: Government is implementing a plan of punishing school principals

09.09.20 17:25

According to Sergo Ratiani, majoritarian candidate of European Georgia in Sachkhere, Chiatura and Kharagauli constituencies, the government is implementing a plan of punishing school principals.

As Sergo Ratiani explained, the Ministry of Education has decided to dismiss the principals whose 6-year terms have expired, which is pressure on teachers.

"Yesterday, the Ministry of Education issued an order dismissing the principals whose 6-year terms have expired. The reason named was that they failed to pass exams due to the pandemic and therefore all of them have been dismissed. In the pre-election period, the government is implementing a plan of punishing school principals. This is a proof that the Ministry punished the politically "disobedient" professionals.

Most importantly, this is being done to put pressure on principals. This is a shameful story and the public should raise its voice and we should not allow this. Principals should be free in their choice. This story shows how much the government is afraid of this election," said Sergo Ratiani.
