The infection rate has been rising in the country in the last two weeks, -said Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

 

“The infection rate has been rising in the country in the last two weeks. According to today's data, we now have 9 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants across the country”, Gamkrelidze said.

 

According to him, Adjara remains the hottest spot in the country.

 

"We have a very high incidence rate in Adjara - 47.8 new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants”, he said.

 

44 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the country in the past day, which brings the total number of cases to 1773. 1325 persons have already recovered, while 19 people have died.
