According to Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani, Georgia remains on the list of safe countries along with 10 non-EU countries. As the FM told reporters, due to the epidemiological situation, against the backdrop of world restrictions, 70 flights are scheduled for September, 30 of which are regular flights.

"The public is well aware that from the very first day of the pandemic, the Georgian authorities have taken unprecedented measures to ensure the immediate return of our citizens to their homeland. We have repatriated more than 23,000 Georgian citizens and this process continues. Although there are some restrictions around the world, 70 flights are scheduled for September. Of these, nearly 30 are regular flights. The main task for us is the security of our citizens and also the security of the citizens who came to Georgia from Europe. You know that Georgia was included in the list of safe countries by the European Union. This list is updated every two weeks. Yesterday the EU renewed it once again and Georgia remains on this list along with 10 non-EU countries. This is a recognition of the measures taken by us and our government, which still keeps Georgia on the list of safe countries", - stated Zalkaliani.
